3 Ways to Keep Your Kids Entertained with Music

Before my little one was even born, I remember using earphones to play music for him in the womb (you can find them here: Wav Hello Belly Buds) hoping to give my kid an early advantage to the benefits of music. Now that he’s older, incorporating the benefits of music into our daily lives has been such a joy!

Three ways that I have kept my kid entertained with music have been:

1. Find instruments that they can play.

We first started his interest in music through getting him a small bell-sounding but real looking piano that was his size: Costzon Classical Kids Piano. As he got older and his interest in piano grew, we ended up getting an actual piano that he could play (digital pianos with weighted keys are also a good choice if you want the feel of a piano but much less of the cost). He was also gifted with a bluetooth microphone one year for his birthday that he absolutely loves as he likes to sing his favorite songs and perform which you can find here: Bluetooth Kids Portable Microphone. This microphone is great because it can be charged (no batteries required) and it lasts very long between charges.

2. Sing along and be silly with them.

Nothing like singing at the top of your lungs while driving in a car with your little one! This has been a great way to get my child interested in music also with singing in confidence (even if both him and I are not entirely singing on key).

3. Engage in music classes.

I always enjoyed taking my little one to “Mommy and Me” music classes that my community would offer for free! As he got older, it became harder to find classes for his age and thus, we invested in putting him into private music classes tailored for his age.
